Sheri Hood spent her formative years learning about life, love and rock 'n' roll in CBGB, Danceteria, Maxwell's and DC's 930 Club. An NYC-based manager of rock bands and record label jill-of-all-trades, she most notably opened and established the American office of the British-based record label, 4AD. Band management included Stereolab, Slowdive, Mojave 3, Cranes, The Raincoats, Ultra Vivid Scene, Pell Mell, and Velvet Crush.
Upon moving to Portland in 1999, she pursued her interest and love of wine by working a harvest for Jimi Brooks at WillaKenzie Estate. After taking preliminary courses at Portland State University, Sheri completed her degree in Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis in 2003. She has worked at such wineries over the years as Archery Summit, Bethel Heights, A to Z and Francis Tannahhill, and Ponzi Vineyards in addition to vintage work in New Zealand and Australia.
Living in Portland, Oregon, she now makes wines inspired by music that she loves. And she still appreciates a good mix-tape.
Wine labels were designed by Rob Jones from Jealous Butcher Records.
